MA DERNIERE TOILE , EN ACRYLIQUE, THIS IS MY LAST WORK IN ACRYLICS
PAVERPOL
The textiles and decoration hardener par excellence! Dip natural materials, such as textiles, in Paverpol. Drape or wrap the material around a wire figure or other armature and leave it to dry. Paverpol dries fast, but slowly enough to allow plenty of working time. After it has hardened, you have created a beautiful decoration or sculpture, which can be used indoors as well as outdoors.
Paverpol dries completely transparent. Colored textiles, possibly with a pattern, retain their original brightness. By adding colored powder (Pavercolor) to Paverpol, Paverpol can be colored without slowing down the drying time. It is also possible to combine Paverpol with paper, silk, chamois, leather, self-hardening clay, polystyrene foam, dried flowers, wood, plaster, pottery, etc. Paverpol adheres to almost all materials, except plastic. The finished projects are rock-hard.
Paverpol Transparent; A sculpture made with Paverpol Transparent and meant to be placed outside needs to be either painted with weather-resistant paint or varnished with Josefine’s Varnish. Do this after two weeks of curing (or longer in high-humid areas).
Sculptures made with pre-colored Paverpol or Paverpol Transparent that have been colored with Pavercolor can only be placed outside after two weeks of curing. Also, it is important that you have wrapped the sculptures in a way that it is not possible that water can get in between the fabric and the frame. This will prevent it from moulding.
Protect Paverpol in its liquid form from frost, once it is hardened however Paverpol can withstand extreme frost. Tools and hands can simply be washed in warm water.
PAVERCOTTON
A 100 % cotton fiber. If dipped in the Paverpol textile hardener (possibly colored with Pavercolor) and squeezed out well, it can be used to add hair/wigs to the Paverpol figurine or statue. It can also be used to make creative dishes and other home decor items.
Cover a dish with cling film and put the Pavercotton tuffs dipped in Paverpol on one side of the cling film. The dish is only to be used as a mould, and will not be damaged. After it has dried and hardened (for at least one week) you can take the dish off. The side that was covered by plastic will still need to dry. You have to be patient for this, but if you do, you will end up with a unique cotton dish that can for example be used as a creative fruit bowl.
STOCKINETTE
A very stretchy, open-weave knit, which once dipped in Paverpol textile hardener can be used as decoration to clothe a doll or figurine. Once the Stockinette is dipped in Paverpol, it stretches in length and will become twice as long.
JOSEFINE RELIEF DECORATION
A beautiful and highly decorative dried wood grain. It becomes very pliable if rubbed with Paverpol, and can be used to decorate figurines or to create numerous other decorations. It has a natural color, but it can be dyed beautifully with Pavercolors or acrylic paint. When you make the Relief Decoration a bit damp you can even slit it in two!
JOSEFINE'S ART STONE DECORATION POWDER
Art Stone can be used in two different ways. You can make self-hardening clay of it, or you can use the powder to make sculptures or make statues that look like stone.
To make sculpture look like stone use Paverpol lead colour or Paverpol transparent mixed with Pavercolor Siena as a basis. It is of course also possible to mix with other Pavercolors.
You can use a pre-form figure of tempex, plaster, ecoshape, or kitchen foil (cover the foil with painter’s tape).
Mix the colored Paverpol with the same amount of Art Stone Decoration powder until the clay is one lump that no longer sticks to your hands.
Cover your work completely with the colored Paverpol. Put the clay fully or partially onto the layer that is still wet. Thick or thin, coarse or fine, whatever you like. Make sure that the bottom layer is wet, if needed apply a new layer of Paverpol using the brush. When your work is fully or partially decorated with the clay, scatter some powder over it and rub it in well. Apply some Paverpol with a brush if the base has become too dry. You can also scatter a little Paverpol on the wet layer and rub it afterwards.
This stone effect is not suitable for outdoor objects. If you want to leave the piece of work outside, you can use a patina instead of powder, which can be made by mixing white Pavercolor with Josefine gloss varnish. Apply with a brush. Remove the surplus patina with a tissue. Let the work dry and make it glossy with a lint-free cloth. It is also possible to make jewelry: create stones of clay, use a skewer to make holes in them, and get a leather lace to thread the beads.
PAVERPLAST
With this powder mixed with Paverpol (100 grams Paverplast for 500 gram Paverpol) you can create an indelible paste. So this time you do not work with fabric, dipped in Paverpol, but work with a spatula this paste directly on a foundation in layers of 1 a 2 mm. If you want a shiny surface, dip your finger in water and brush on the Paverplast paste. Make it stronger by working more layers on it. After every layer wait till it is dry, before the next layer.
It can also be used create a completely watertight layer on sculptures and statues of tempex (polystyrene foam), plaster, self-hardening clay, ecoshape, papier-mâché etc. (Before the layer of Paverplast, dry very well).Varnishing is not required. Take your garden ideas and projects to the next level with Paverplast.
Paverplast mixed with Paverpol can be colored with Pavercolor to create numerous colors. Store in an airtight sealable tray. It dries in air. If the Paverplast becomes too stiff, you can add some Paverpol. Do not add water!
WRAPPERS
Wrappers are pieces of cloth that are stretchable. This way you can make a skeleton which is firm and smooth.
Cut 4 pieces of the same size. Use a brush to put one layer of Paverpol onto the skeleton. Wrap it as tight as possible. Put a layer of Paverpol onto the piece of Wrapper.
Should you want to place the object outside put a layer of Paverplast Paste on top of the dried object. This is a mixture of Paverpol and Paverplast powder. Wrappers can also be used to decorate Paverpol statues. Perfect to use for hats and shawls. Dip the Wrapper into the Paverpol. Squeeze it en put it onto the statue. Be careful because you can easily tear it! Even art pieces like paintings, panels, photo frames, boxes, etc. can be decorated by using Wrappers.
